Martial arts is for defense only, Know that anger is your enemy

The highest skill in martial arts is to avoid all fights. The purpose of practicing martial arts is to make you a better person. During practice you develop concentration of the mind.

For every 10,000 students that join a martial arts class, half will drop out the first month out of the five thousand left, half will remain the second month, of those remaining 2,500 students, one thousand will complete six months of training and then give up five hundred will study for a year but only one hundred will see their second anniversary five will make shodan-ho (jun shodan or apprentice black belt). Two will make shodan (1st grade black belt) but only one will go on to teach others what they have learned. Why? Because the martial arts are now a part of their life, and they will go on to share this “special life.” With others.

If you can learn to use a solid block against the opponent wile maintaining the same position

Earning different belt ranks shows the attitude of working hard, rather then showing your ability to perform wight belts, have confadence you can and will make it if you just beleave in yourself

my sencei once told me that;
you dont need to have the lead, if you have the curedge to come from behind.
you never want to attack first. Never focus on your appoints size or strength.
dont talk during a fight or you might get distracted from what you are supposed to be doing and then lose.
Blitz is when you put many different techniques, movements, or strikes together and use them all at once and not stops until the opponent fights back

If someone grabs your stomach then quick 1 elbow them in the ribs 2 grab their shoulder with your right hand and their arm with your left hand 3 quickly turn your upper body 4 point your elbow toward where you want to put them 5 know you just let your arm drop which will place them on the grand right in front of you. Good job now double punch and walk away. They will never mess with you again.
